Bio:
I'm a U.S. Army Veteran, having served with the 101st Airborne Division 3-187 Infantry Unit. Throughout my military tenure, I was tasked with coordinating efforts with command and support units, as well as actively participating in combat operations, including a deployment to Iraq.
Following my military service, I utilized my G.I. Bill benefits to earn a B.Sc. in Business and Global Management from the University of Phoenix in 2013. Subsequently, in 2016, I pursued further academic endeavors and earned a B.Sc. in Management Information Systems and Analytics from Colorado State University Global, leveraging their online platform while traveling around the world.
In my professional trajectory, I have been privileged to encounter a diverse array of opportunities. Notably, I served as a Business Development Manager for Open Earth Consulting, an Environmental Engineering firm based in Australia. In this role, I oversaw project management initiatives, conducted comprehensive analyses of company operations, and managed client accounts. Following another firm's acquisition of Open Earth Consulting, I transitioned to Palram Industries as a Business Intelligence Analyst.
Then I decided to embark on another period of global travel, culminating in my work with Vyral Marketing, where I spearheaded the development of a robust lead follow-up protocol. This strategy remains integral to the company's operations. I'm thankful to count Frank Klesitz, the CEO, as both a mentor and a catalyst for the inception of TavCanna.
My involvement with cannabis started in the legacy market, which was put on hold during my time in the military, and I've been a medical cannabis patient since 2018.
Beyond professional pursuits, I maintain a keen interest in various recreational endeavors, including reading, enjoying great food and music, and learning about the diverse facets of the cannabis industry.
My Story:
In the cannabis world, there's often a deeply personal story behind every venture. For me, the reasons behind starting TavCanna are deeply rooted in the profound impact that cannabis has had on my life, how it has improved the quality of my relationships with loved ones, and an acknowledgment of the pioneers who have paved the way, often through immense sacrifices, for this remarkable plant to gain the modern-day recognition we now see taking hold on a global scale.
Cannabis, with its ancient history of medicinal use spanning thousands of years, has a long-standing reputation as a healing plant. Yet, it's perplexing that this medicinal treasure has been treated with disdain in many parts of the world. The roots of discrimination against cannabis run deep, perpetuated by ignorance and fear. It's a story of how racial biases and distorted perceptions lead to unjust laws and regulations. But here's the good news: We find ourselves in a unique era where attitudes towards cannabis are evolving. The tide is turning, albeit slowly.
My mission with TavCanna is straightforward: to contribute to the betterment of the cannabis industry.
At every step in the supply chain, as an industry, we should strive to deliver the best quality products to patients and adult-use consumers. By adhering to this customer-centric approach, we can show policymakers that their constituency supports the responsible sale and use of cannabis. It's about demonstrating that cannabis is not a menace but a valuable resource that can improve lives.
My journey with cannabis intertwines personal experiences and a vision for a brighter future. At TavCanna, we stand on the side of progress and healing, aiming to make the cannabis industry more accessible, responsible, and compassionate. Together, we can continue the transformative journey of cannabis, from stigma to acceptance, from prejudice to healing.
