Matt is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Joywave Consulting, a full-service cannabis consulting firm based in Denver, Colorado. Joywave provides strategic, hands-on support to start up companies as they navigate the complexities of cannabis licensing, facility design, and day to day operations. Matt has been actively involved in cannabis consulting since 2014, helping clients in over 25 US markets secure licenses and launch their cultivation, processing, and dispensary businesses from coast to coast. Prior to co-founding Joywave in 2020, Matt was an investor and original employee of one of the country’s first full-service cannabis consultancies, Medicine Man Technologies, where he was instrumental in the pre-public, startup phase of the company’s growth. Matt holds a B.A. in Communication from SUNY Geneseo in Western New York, and has resided in Colorado since 2008, where he's enjoyed a firsthand view of one of the nation's largest domestic cannabis markets.
