I've had a diverse and successful career spanning entrepreneurship, law, professional speaking, writing, and media commentary. Currently, my focus is on the exciting venture of launching an Amazon Store.
As an entrepreneur, I co-founded a software company and a social media talent agency, both of which garnered attention through acquisitions—one by Microsoft and the other by a prominent industry competitor.
As a seasoned attorney, I spearheaded negotiations for deals exceeding $250 million, specializing in e-commerce law, large enterprise information technology, and business processing outsourcing agreements. Notable clients in my portfolio included AvisBudget Rent a Car, ExxonMobil, Carnival Cruises, Levi Strauss, GE, Publix Supermarkets, and the largest Toyota distributor globally.
In negotiations, I faced off against a who's who of companies, including IBM, ESPN, Accenture, ADP, American Express, AT&T, Bank of America, Cisco, Dell, Fox News, Staples, Weather Channel, Verizon, Xerox, Perot Systems, Oracle, OnStar, NBC, Microsoft, Lufthansa, Lockheed, and Equifax. The list goes into the hundreds.
Recognized as one of the "Best Lawyers in America" for 15 consecutive years, I was honored as the "Lawyer of the Year" for Technology Law in New York City by Best Lawyers in 2016 and 2018—an unprecedented achievement. Additionally, I earned the distinction of being a New York Super Lawyer, a recognition bestowed upon the top 5% of lawyers in the state.
As a prolific writer, I penned over 400 articles, many for my weekly bylined column "TechLaw," featured on the front page of the "Business Monday" section of the Miami Herald. I also authored articles for PC World Magazine and CIO Magazine and authored two editions of the book "Technology Law: What Every Business (And Business-Minded Person) Needs to Know."
My insights into topical legal issues attracted attention in the media, resulting in many appearances on major platforms such as CNBC, Bloomberg TV, ABC’s “Nightline,” Wall Street Journal Radio, and NPR.
I earned my B.A. with high honors from Stony Brook University and a Juris Doctor degree as a cum laude graduate of Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. I am a proud member of the New York and Florida Bars.
